AML, KYC & Identity Verification Policy
Why we sometimes need more than a name
Property transactions can be used for fraud, impersonation and movement of unlawful funds. Real Agent may therefore ask a property owner, buyer, tenant, agent, representative or beneficial owner for enough information to understand who is involved and whether they have authority to act.
Checks may include
Depending on risk and transaction stage, we may ask for identity documents, company or representative information, evidence of ownership or authority, payment-account information, source-of-funds explanations or other supporting evidence.
Risk-based review
Not every user will be asked for the same documents. Higher-value, unusual, inconsistent or higher-risk transactions may require more checks.
Suspicious or unlawful activity
We will not help structure a transaction to avoid lawful checks. Where the law requires reporting, record preservation, refusal of service or cooperation with a competent authority, Real Option Properties Ltd may act accordingly.
No automatic accusation
A request for additional information does not by itself mean we believe someone has done anything wrong.
